1. Individuality and Customer Specifications
Basis for every successfully realized project is the selection of the appropriate product. We support all our customers with application-related, customer-oriented product advice, for every measurement task is associated with individual requirements for a detector.
Experienced sales engineers, working together with our application engineers, will analyze your specific needs in a personal meeting. You can benefit from the expertise of our specialist staff and reduce your development costs.
Based on our application-oriented consultancy, you can configure a detector that is suitable for your measurement task. Our portfolio includes a total of 50 basic types, which are suitable to varying degrees for applications in gas analysis, flame sensing or spectrometric processes.
The basic types can be adapted to the specific requirements of the application using a modular principle with a careful selection of the detector components (for example, IR filter, amplifier circuit, detector housing). Depending on the planned production quantities, it is also possible to implement completely customized solutions.
InfraTec offers numerous IR window materials as standard, as well as a wide range of narrow bandpass filters (NBP) for gas analysis. The selection and specification of the IR filter significantly influence the success of the measurement. Thus, we support our customers in working out the specification, carry out the procurement and reliably meet the high requirements.
During the sampling phase, you can of course draw on our expertise at any time. Together, we evaluate the measurement data and use it to derive measures for optimizing the detector. On request, we also manufacture samples with IR filters provided by you.
The product test can be flexibly adapted to the intended operating conditions, for example by taking measurements at specific temperatures or modulation frequencies. This also allows special requirements for the detectors to be taken into account and their behavior under practical conditions to be tested.

3. Automated Processes for Reliable Products
More than 30 years of experience are reflected in our highly efficient and reproducible manufacturing processes. We rely on automated processes to ensure reliable and consistently high quality. In our ISO class 7 clean room, we operate state-of-the-art machinery including
Vacuum coating systems for the in-house metallization of various wafer substrate,
Chip bonding machines for the highly precise placement of all detector components
Semiconductor saws for the separation of pyroelectric chips and
Wire bonding machines for the highly precise and long-term stable electrical contacting of the components.
4. Continuous Process Monitoring
To ensure the highest quality of our detectors at all times, the manufacturing process is fully monitored from start up to finish. This includes the
Inline monitoring of key process parameters in all automatic systems
Destructive testing and evaluation of the detectors based on common industry standards, for example, the analysis of wire bond connections according to DVS standards and leak tests according to MIL standard
Monitoring of the electro-optical characteristics for selected products for effective and early detection of trends in the process flow and for process optimization.
Before a detector leaves our premises, it must provide proof of conformity of product and process characteristics. We test the characteristic values (electro-optical analysis) and the tightness of our detectors at 100%. As part of the final inspection, a visual analysis is carried out by our experienced employees.
We perform electro-optical analysis using an automated inspection system developed in-house. In addition, the series measurement technology is regularly monitored as part of our test equipment management.
Our high quality standards in the development, manufacture, distribution and servicing of our products are regularly inspected and confirmed by TÜV audits. Since 2010, InfraTec has met the requirements of the certified quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015.
5. Transparency for Every Product
On delivery of our detectors, you will not only receive the inspection certificate 3.1 according to DIN EN 10204, but also a measurement data set for each detector that is linked to its serial number. This can be conveniently accessed via our online customer portal using the QR code on the detector and downloaded for further processing.
Our quality assurance also guarantees the complete traceability of the materials used, up to the batch of detectors supplied. The complete manufacturing process can be traced at any time using seamless digital documentation.

To meet all these requirements, every fifth employee at InfraTec works in research and development. The focus is on new pyroelectric materials and alternative measurement principles. In addition, our experts are working to increase the accuracy and reproducibility of existing solutions. Optoelectronic simulations help to understand and optimize the operating principles of detector design.
From a very early stage, our developers work together with our production colleagues to ensure that new knowledge can be put to use quickly.
